Brickyard Asian Heritage Month Showcase

This May at Brickyard, experience new poems and stories from Asian poets every week. Enmeshed in family legacies, contemporary struggles, and empowerment projects, these artists use their words and actions to build visibility and community. Curated by Janice Jo Lee.

Brickyard’s Asian Heritage Month Showcase features a series of weekly performance videos and interviews with renowned Canadian spoken word artists, including Bänoo Zan (founder of Shab-e She’r Poetry Night), Anto Chan (co-curator and host of FreeFlow Showcase), Kai Cheng Thom (award-winning author of Falling Back in Love with Being Human), and Johnny D Trinh (artistic director of Vancouver Poetry House).
