Phil Hall
Phil Hall’s first Brick Book was Why I Haven’t Written (1985). His fifth, Trouble Sleeping, was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award in 2001. With An Oak Hunch, his sixth Brick Book and ninth altogether, we proudly celebrate twenty years of association. Hall holds an M.A. in creative writing from The University of Windsor. He has been literary editor at This Magazine, and is now Poetry Editor for BookThug Press. Hall has won both the Governor General’s Award and the Trillium Award. He has been writer-in-residence at Queen’s University, the University of Western Ontario, the University of Windsor, and the University of Ottawa. He lives near Perth, Ontario.
