David Waltner-Toews lives in Kitchener, Ontario. A veterinary epidemiologist, he is University Professor Emeritus at the University of Guelph and consults on health and ecology over much of the world. He has published six books of poetry, including this one, two books of fiction, and six books of nonfiction.
