Marlene Creates is an environmental artist and poet who lives and works in a six-acre patch of boreal forest in Portugal Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador. She received the Grand Jury Award at the 2014 Yosemite International Film Festival for the documentary video-poem represented in the first part of this book.
