Welcome to the Brick Books’ students and educators resource page

Since 1975 Brick Books has been publishing new and established voices in Canadian poetry. Fostering interesting work by Canadian poets and translators of poetry, Brick Books produces beautifully designed, attractive books worthy of the excellence of their contents, and distributes and promotes its authors and their books around the globe.

We have created this new section for students and educators to showcase all the information about our authors in one place. Including author biographies, books published, reviews, interviews, audio recordings and more, we hope that this material can enhance learning experiences and both personal and professional development.

We’re excited to have worked with many of our authors in creating new material; they provide insight into such things as their writing process, experience as poets, reflections on poems among other things. We’ve included all of these questions and answers on individual author pages.

Here are the poets who have provided new material so far: Antony Di Nardo, Barbara Klar, Brian Henderson, Carole Langille, Carolyn Marie Souaid, Deanna Young, Derk Wynand, Emily McGiffin, Eve Joseph, Gillian Wigmore, Heather Cadsby, Jane Eaton Hamilton, Jane Munro, Joanna Lilley, John Donlan, John Reibetanz, Kate Cayley, Kim Maltman, Liz Philips, Lynn Davies, Maureen Harris, Maureen Hynes, Méira Cook, Michael Crummey, Michael Kenyon, Naomi Guttman, Nora Gould, Pain Not Bread, Patrick Friesen, Rhonda Batchelor, Robyn Sarah, Stephanie Bolster, Steve Noyes, Sue Sinclair, Susan Paddon, Ted Dyck, Terry Griggs.
